Under-eye products make ambitious claims in very little space. A patch can temporarily hydrate the skin and feel cooling, but that is different from treating a medical cause of persistent swelling or pigmentation. The useful shopping question is narrower: which texture and ingredient list fit your routine, and how many pairs will you realistically use?

What changes across the six colors?

The official ingredient lists share a hydrogel base built around water, glycerin, carrageenan and glucomannan. Glycerin is a humectant, meaning it helps attract water to the outer layer of skin. Sodium hyaluronate appears across the formulas as another moisture-binding ingredient. Those shared materials explain why the variants can feel similar even when their highlighted extracts differ.

Gold: the simple hydration-led formula

Gold includes glycerin, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, sodium hyaluronate and allantoin. The official page positions it as the original option. It is a reasonable starting place for someone who wants the cooling, occlusive feel of a hydrogel patch without choosing a retinoid formula.

Gold’s appearance does not mean the formula contains 24-karat gold. The ingredient list uses mica, iron oxides and titanium dioxide for visual effect. Read the actual ingredients rather than inferring function from color or metallic packaging.

Blue and bronze: niacinamide-led variants

Blue lists niacinamide along with green tea, centella, licorice, chamomile and other plant extracts. Bronze also lists niacinamide and adds caffeine. These ingredients are commonly used in appearance-focused skincare, but the product cannot identify why a person has persistent dark circles or puffiness.

More plant extracts do not automatically mean a gentler formula. Any ingredient can be unsuitable for a particular person, and delicate eye-area skin gives little room for trial-and-error irritation. That is why a small pack and patch test are more useful than buying the largest jar on first use.

Pink, white and purple

Pink highlights horse chestnut extract and a peptide alongside the shared humectants. White combines niacinamide, rice-bran extract and peptides. Purple lists retinyl palmitate, tocopherol and ceramide NP. The official product page describes the variants in simple benefit language, but the complete ingredient list is the better comparison tool.

Retinyl palmitate is a vitamin A derivative. It is not identical to prescription tretinoin, and a patch does not disclose the same information as a clinical treatment. If your routine already contains a retinoid or exfoliating acid, adding another active around the eye can increase irritation. Introduce one change at a time.

How to add an eye product without overloading your routine

Begin with clean, dry skin and follow the package time. Hydrogel patches can slide when heavy serum or cream is underneath, so apply them before a rich moisturizer unless the instructions say otherwise. After removal, pat in remaining serum gently instead of rubbing the eye area.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends testing a new skincare product on a small area twice daily for seven to ten days before regular use. The eye area itself is not a sensible first test spot. Use the normal amount on the test area, follow the intended contact time and stop if you develop redness, itching or swelling.

Do not introduce purple patches, a retinol eye cream and a retinol balm on the same evening. If irritation appears, you will not know which product caused it. A calm routine makes the result easier to interpret: cleanser, one treatment product if tolerated, moisturizer, and daytime sunscreen.

Persistent swelling, pain, sudden one-sided changes or vision symptoms do not belong in a cosmetic shopping guide. Seek appropriate medical care rather than trying to cover the problem with patches. Cosmetic products are best evaluated for comfort, hydration and temporary appearance changes.

Beyond patches: rollers, creams and blemish care

The cooling eye roller in the current feed uses a metal applicator and a formula listing niacinamide, caffeine, licorice extract, centella and sodium hyaluronate. The format avoids handling individual patches and fits a quick morning routine. The tradeoff is less occlusion and a different dose than a hydrogel mask.

The radiant eye cream and restoring balm list retinoid ingredients, caffeine and moisturizers in richer bases. Cream can fit a nightly routine, while a stick is convenient for controlled application. Around the eye, more pressure is not better. The AAD suggests using the ring finger for cream because it is less likely to pull hard on delicate skin.

The catalog’s hydrocolloid pimple patches are a separate category. They are designed for localized blemishes, not the under-eye area. Cute shapes and mirror cases change convenience, not the basic role of the hydrocolloid material. Apply them to clean, dry skin and follow the product instructions.

Foot peels and face masks also need their own tolerance checks. Do not generalize a good experience with an eye patch to every product from the brand. Formulas, contact times and body areas differ.

Pack size, storage and value

A six-pair pack is the lower-risk first order. A 24- or 48-pair jar can reduce cost per use for a formula you already like, but only if it stays sealed and is used before its period-after-opening guidance. Use clean hands or the supplied tool, close the container promptly and keep it away from excessive heat.
